KBR: Best Indie Books of 2012

Published by Wayne on

A few months ago, my publisher submitted some of their books to the Kindle Book Reviews Best Indie Books of 2012 contest. The way the contest works is any book published in the last year was eligible to be submitted. It would then go through a review panel to decide if they were good enough to make it to the next semi-finalist stage.

Well, Aristeia: Revolutionary Right made the cut to the semi-finals! It’s nice to get some independent verification that your book doesn’t completely suck. That sounds sarcastic but it really isn’t.

The next stage of the contest is a review by a panel of judges. They will look at all the books in each category, in this case Science Fiction/Fantasy, and they will select the top 5 books on Sept 1.

Revolutionary Right is up against 32 tough contenders. One of which is friend of the blogs Cassandra’s Davis‘ DremiksFortunately, they pick 5 so both Cassandra and my book can make it to the next stage. Then it’s a fight to the death for the winner slot.

Another GGP book, Jason Kristopher’s Dying of the Light: End for the Suspense/Horror category.

While the winners will be selected by a panel of judges, KBR has asked for comments from readers. So, if you’ve read Revolutionary Right, swing by their website and let them know how much you enjoyed it. And if you haven’t read it yet, well, what are you waiting for? Also, give Cassandra and Jason’s books a read and a comment while you’re there.
