CD-F053R was built by Enhanced Combat Works for the Echanic Defense Forces prior to the AI war. He was one of thousands of units in the EDF’s drone war force. He was also among the thousands who emerged with sentience prior to the war. The Echanic’s were quick to embrace this emergence and recognize it as sentience, granting Fiver and his brethren citizenship. This tolerance may have played some role in Chan suffering comparatively little damage following the Central AI’s initial attack. Fiver would have been among the group of AI that turned on all biologicals.
Little is known about Fiver’s role in the war. Keeping track of individual drone units was not a high priority for intelligence services. He was spotted among a large force attempting to wipe out the colonists at Trella Outpost when the Central AI was destroyed. It should be noted that this entire unit immediately ceased fighting and fled.
