History:

Ariana Harkins graduated from the Triask Defense Force Naval Academy just prior to the outbreak of the AI War. She served with distinction during the war, quickly rising through the ranks to commander her own frigate, the Jasmine Fire. There she had an exemplary record until the Battle of Usar.

Directed to escort a convoy of transport ships through the Usar system, her ship came into contact with two War Drones. The Jasmine Fire engaged the AI ships in an effort to let the unarmed transports escape. When she learned from the transports owner, Evan Mitchell, that the transports were automated and had no crew, despite PUG Directive 1, she ordered the destruction of the transports to prevent them from falling under AI control and then fled the scene in order to preserve her ship and crew.

Ariana faced courts martial following the loss of the transports and was on administrative leave during the final battles of the war. While cleared of any charges, she resigned in protest when Evan Mitchell avoided any criminal prosecution for his part in the incident.

Retiring from the service, Ariana used her retirement benefits and heavy loans to purchase her own transport ship. She began running cargo out of the Hub along the fringes of PUG space. There are no notable incidents on file for these years until the LFD Incident two years ago.

***CLASSIFIED – TOP SECRET***

Commissioned to transport a passenger, one Javi Wester, to Triask, Ariana’s ship, the Seraph, encountered a fleet of ships run by the Live Free or Die organization. LFD under the direction of Jackson Mitchell, had reconstructed the Central AI and assembled the remnants of the AI drone fleet. The fleet was attempting to apprehend Javi, who had been a former member and who was attempted to deliver vital intelligence to PUG command.

Ariana led her crew in a confrontation with the LFD command ship in an effort to stop an assault on the planet of Triask and PUG command. They proved successful and Ariana was offered a return to duty with a promotion to commander. Instead, she bargained for the repair of her ship in exchange for her silence on the incident.

Following these repairs, Seraph returned to its transport runs though their are rumors the ship was involved in a prison breakout on the Rokma planet of Lolia but these rumors have not been substantiated. The ship was last seen at the Hub before accepting a survey mission in the uncharted J-25 sector. Further rumors place the crew being the target of a bounty issued by a criminal element that has gained influence on the Hub.
