I Never Listen to the Order 66 Podcast

Published by Wayne on

At least not after the lame guest they had on Episode 151 last night. Yeah, they let me on there to talk about Revolutionary Right. If that’s not an indication the show is in decline, I don’t know what is.

Seriously though, the Order 66 Podcast is great fun if you enjoy roleplaying, especially Star Wars Saga Edition. I started playing that a few years ago, and since I was GMing for the first time, I went in search of advice (on how the game worked and how to not suck as  GM). I found the Order 66 and d20Radio and have enjoyed the show ever since.  It’s a fun listen and they’ve had lots of great advice for GM’s and players. The community on their forums is also a great group.

Over the years, they have had a lot of much cooler guests than myself. Mostly  fellow gamers or Stars Wars Saga Edition Developers (Rodney Thompson, Sterling Hershey, to name just a few). They’ve also had Sam Witwer, of Battlestar Galactica and Being Human fame, has been a guest a number of times.  He is apparently a big gaming geek. If Aristeia ever became a movie, he’d be a good candidate for playing Maarkean. He has the pale skin that is appropriate for a Braz.

When I told the hosts that I had my book coming out, they offered to have me on the show. While my book has nothing to do with Star Wars (aside from being in the same genre) or roleplaying (anyone want to make it into an RPG or board game, that would be awesome), they were nevertheless happy to give me a chance to talk a little bit about my book to their audience.

I haven’t listened to the interview yet, and I’m not sure I’m going too. While giving it, I felt like a moron. I hate talking about myself and am sure I rambled, babbled, and made little sense. But, I’m especially hard on myself so maybe it’s not that bad. Maybe.

In addition to the interview, I’ve made a few copies of the book available to them for a giveaway contest. They’re seeking short 500 word stories on their forums. The best wins a signed hardback copy of the book and 2nd place wins a paperback copy.  If you’re interested in picking up a free copy of Aristeia, head on over to their forums.

Wow, that is really cool, congratulations! I’ll admit I’ve never listened to their podcast. I’ve been tempted, but never have. I’ll have to give this one a listen though.
