Break-up Averted

Well, it seems Netflix will not be divorcing itself. Last month, Netflix announced that it’s Streaming and DVD-by-mail service would be separating, and that the DVD’s would change it’s name to Qwikster. But it seems the two have found a way to work out their differences and stay together. For Read more…

What We Might Watch

I made a post last week about shows we are currently watching or about to try. We also watch a lot of old shows on DVD/Streaming in the interim periods between the new ones. Here’s some shows we’re considering trying out. Anyone have any other recommendations or wish to put Read more…

What We’re Watching

As you all know, I am a big geek who wastes a lot of his time in front of the computer or a TV screen. Since I’m not someone who doesn’t need facts to back things up, it’s necessary to present the evidence of just how lazy and wasted much Read more…

Xbox TV

Saw some news about a new thing coming to Xbox, Xbox TV. The new article announces a list of partners that will be working with Microsoft for this. What is still unclear, is what exactly Xbox TV will be. There is a lot of speculation ranging from another way of Read more…

Heavenly Palace-1

A Year of Sunrise

Saw an awesome video on Bad Astronomy recently. It shows images of the Earth taken from a geostationary satellite every day at 6:00am for a year. It’s a great example of how the angle of the sun changes with the seasons.

I was thinking recently about how short sighted political decisions are. Specifically, I’m talking here about NASA. The shuttle program, after 30years of flying the first reusable vehicle, ended this year. There were a few screw ups (Challenger, Columbia), but that was 2 out of 135. That’s a 1.5% failure Read more…

Stealth Tank

Well, the days of seeing the tank before it kills you may be coming to an end.  Lots of work is being done in cloaking and stealth systems, but a new product by BAE is succeeded in making a tank completely invisible…to Infrared detection. Now, while you may say that Read more…

Damages

In my second installment of TV reviews, I’m going to look at the show Damages. I’m not sure how we found this show, it’s not a typical show for us and wasn’t on any channels we have access too. It’s another Netflix find I guess. The show follows young lawyer Read more…
