Atlantis

Published by Wayne on

I’m off to Florida to visit my sister and see the last space shuttle flight of Atlantis. Probably no posts for a few days. I was at the very first shuttle launch (though in the womb) so it’s fitting to attend the last one. I’ll probably have more to say later.

I am very jealous. Take pictures, if possible. I’d love to be there to see it.

We had a nice view. I lived 30 miles away my entire childhood and we could always see it launch. But we never bothered to go very close. Today we were close enough to see the shuttle on the pad. Unfortunately, it was very cloudy so you couldn’t see very well. But I took some pictures, needed better zoom though hehe.

Interestingly enough, on the same day former Space Shuttle crew member and the only Swede who has been in space, Christer Fuglesang, took part in an attempt by a group to commit collective suicide.

It’s not as bad as it sounds though, since the sleeping pills they attemted to overdose on were homeopathic “drugs”. 😉
