Time Keeps on Slipping….

I took yesterday off from blogging as it was my 30th birthday. I have now crossed the line into real adulthood. I’ve been old and boring for years now, so in a sense, my age has caught up to my lifestyle.

It was a pretty normal day. We had an ultrasound appointment first thing. That was cool. Finally got to see the baby actually look like a baby instead of an indistinct blob. Hands moving and everything.

After the appointment I went down to Fry’s and bought a new mouse. My current one was has been bothering me for awhile. Hair keeps getting caught in the opening for the laser. That makes it fail to track properly sometimes. I decided to go with a trackball mouse this time. My old hands no longer like moving a mouse around like they used too. Probably more to do with the old mouse than anything else, but I decided to try something. I’ll review it after I have a few days using it.

Then I sat around the house for the rest of the day. Like always. My goal was to do nothing productive, simply because it was my birthday. But I got bored. I got some gift cards from family that I used to order a new game that won’t be here till Thurs. And my wife ordered me a new board game which should get here today. But yesterday I had nothing interesting to play.

So I ended up doing the dishes and then writing a few pages. There was of course, some cake eating. Devil’s food with a homemade icing. It was something my Mom always made for my Dad and then I got in on the tradition. So now my wife does the same thing. Ah, tradition.

We went to Melting Pot for dinner with some friends. Didn’t get home till 11. On a week night. That’s an hour past bed time for us. Like I said, old and boring.

This morning, I had an unusual desire to go find my old photographs. You know, the ones from before the digital age. I know I have several old photo albums somewhere but I only managed to find one. Now I have it in my head to go get a scanner and upload all of them.

Funny how things work. So that was my day. Anyone have any scanner suggestions let me know.
