Sounds of Aristeia 2

Published by Wayne on

It was just a short time ago that “Aristeia: Revolutionary Right” came out as an audio book. And now we’re bringing you the audio book of “Aristeia: A Little Rebellion”!

Aristeia-2-Cover--final-smallFor the second book in the Aristeia series we had some scheduling problems with the narrator who did “Revolutionary Right”. Fortunately, the need to change to a new narrator worked out wonderfully. We found the talented Joel Richards and it’s a perfect fit. Joel really got the story and the characters and brings them to life.

The audiobook is now available through Audible. Grab a copy now and enjoy listen.

Contest Entry #5:  Who is your favorite audiobook narrator?

For me, discounting Joel as I am a bit biased given his material, I’d say probably James Marsters reading the Dresden Files.  Kate Reading and Michael Kramer were enjoyable doing the Wheel of Time series but Marsters really captures the character of Dresden. I suppose it helps that the book is told from the first person perspective.

Frederick Davidson, who narrates the version of “Les Miserables” to which I am listening. He really captures the spirit of those old 19th century novels.

Congrats!

I don’t listen to many audiobooks, but David Sedaris reading his own books is just wonderful 🙂

Anything Stephen Fry says is great. His audiobooks are always delightful.

Generally, I enjoy audiobooks far more if they go the extra mile and make it more like a radio play. Just add some music, sound effects and more than one voice actor and they become much more entertaining.
