Resistance is Futile

Published by Wayne on

After a marathon last couple of days revising my book based on editor feedback, I sent what will hopefully be the last version back to her last night. It includes a heavily cut beginning and a completely new ending.

With that done, I decided to take a break today and go ahead and caved and bought Skyrim. There’s still a month before SWTOR comes out, STO isn’t exciting me and I’ve hit a lull with LOTRO. My original plan was to wait until sometime next year when Skyrim went down in price and maybe I should have picked up Portal 2, which I still want to play and is now under $30. But the pure gushing joy people are expressing over Skyrim made it impossible for me to resist.

I loved Oblivion and Morrowind, and the few things that annoyed me (being able to become invincible with Chameleon spells and enemies always being your level) are fixed in this one. Now, I know this is setting myself up for disappointment, setting to high expectations for the game. But I have faith.

So there goes my day today. Tomorrow I’ll pick book 2 back up and try to finish it before the end of the year.

Wow, I though I stayed up on videogames, but I didn’t recognize half your acronyms.

I saw the used price on Portal 2 came down, so I’ll probably grab that, then Drakes Fortune 3

Congrats on your book!

STO: Star Trek Online
LOTRO: Lord of the Rings Online
SWTOR: Star Wars The Old Republic

You can still buy used games these days? With everything being tied to Steam like services, I thought that was a thing of the past now.
