Why I Support Bernie Sanders
We’re coming up on the primary season in the US. I wish it would be a time for the left leaning side to decide who they want to represent them against who the right leaning side decides represents them. But the right leaning side isn’t even getting a choice in many stats. So it’s a question of who is going to stand against Donald Trump.
As for me, I support Bernie Sanders, as I did in 2016. I’ll outline my reasons below but I highly encourage you to watch this interview. It is long, over an hour, but you get to hear what Bernie stands for straight from his own mouth. No media filter. His own words on a wide variety of subjects.
So why do I support Bernie?
- Fight for Medicare for All. Healthcare is a right of everyone not just those that can afford it
- Raise Minimum Wage to a living wage
- Cancel Student debt with a tax on Wall Street speculation
- We need to deal with Climate Change by transforming away from fossil fuels
- He’s been fighting this fight consistently for more than 30yrs. He’s not a populist politician who changes his opinion to suit a crowd.
- He cares about US troops welfare and doesn’t see them as pawns

- He has the best chance of actually winning because unlike many of the other candidates, he actually stands for something.
