The Awesome Adventures of Max Power- Coming Soon

A few years ago I wrote a story as a laugh which I dubbed The Worst Book Ever. It was a ridiculous adventure full of every trope you’ve ever heard of. I showed it to my writer group, and to my surprise they enjoyed it. They encouraged me to keep going with it and, eventually, it turned into a complete, if comparatively short, novel.

I got the story edited and got some cover art and posted it up on Amazon. Unsurprisingly, not many people wanted to buy a book called The Worst Book Ever. I also really didn’t put much effort into marketing it. Not satisfied with this method I pulled the book after only a short time.

Since then, the story has sat on a metaphorical shelf, collecting digital dust. But recently, some writer friends and I decided to start a new project. In preparation for that, I remembered I had this sitting around doing nothing. It wouldn’t really fit for the new project but would be perfect for a test run.

So, starting next week, I will begin releasing the rebranded Awesome Adventures of Max Power here, for free, on a weekly basis. Almost every Thursday from August until January you’ll be able to read one part of the story. And they will remain up for at least the foreseeable future so you are also welcome to come back in January and binge the whole thing.

Enjoy what, hopefully, isn’t the worst book ever. But it might be the most ridiculous.
