Thankful Thanksgiving Day 7: Dogs

I love dogs. They’re just awesome. They love you unconditionally, are excited to see you, will protect you from harm, will care for you when you’re sad and all they ask in return is a simple meal and the chance to go outside.

I don’t know what my life would be like without dogs. Going on vacation may be a hassle with them, but that’s a small price to pay. They’re a constant companion and a lot of fun. They just don’t live long enough. Noel, Lexi, Vicki, have all passed on just in my lifetime. Annie still has a few years left in her but sadly,  my kid probably won’t even be in elementary school before she dies as she’s already over 10 and the kids still has a few months to gestate.

But then we’ll just have to make room in our home for another puppy in need. Because every little boy (and girl) needs a dog.
