SWTOR Patch 1.2
Well, the day has come, Patch 1.2 is live in SWTOR. It has been 2-3 weeks since I have even logged into SWTOR due to my time constraints (I have played a lot of STO ironically, but I can log in for 10min, set some DOFF missions to run and be done, where as SWTOR requires more time investment to get anything done).
The biggest and most exciting feature added with this update is of course the Legacy System. A lot of the legacy rewards seemed very cool and I am eager to get into game and see what I have access to at lowly Legacy level 10 that I’m at. Probably not very much, at least not the coolest stuff. But incentive I guess to begin leveling my alts again.
There are also a few flashpoints, operations and endgame missions on Corellia added. If I were playing regularly I would call this cool. But since I haven’t even played all of the regular missions on Hardmode, or a single Operation, I’m not all that excited about more content I don’t have time for. With luck, I’ll be able to join my guild tomorrow for an Operation run, but we’ll see.
The Sprint ability is now available at level 1.
This is one of the most exciting patch notes included. Making a new alt won’t be as slow now. Though, I have 3 characters between 14 and 35 now I have to finish before I go make a new one.
A lot of changes were made to class abilities. I’m not sure what effect all of these will have, as I only have a Scoundrel at level 50. For them, it looks like the healing Sawbones tree will get a slight buff, which is good because I thought their healing was a little weak. And that’s the path I enjoyed playing the most.
The ship droid, C2-N2, has been upgrade with Legacy to allow for affection and the ability to upgrade them so they have some crafting buffs. This is good news since, depending on what route you took, some of your other companions bonuses are useless to you. The ability to customize a buff will help fill that hole.
And, of course, crafting got a significant upgrade. i’ve talk before about these changes here and changes coming this patch here, so I won’t go into anymore details. I still don’t know the details of how they will work until I get into game.
