Once again, XKCD nails it

Like many things, XKCD really hits the nail on the head here:

Hidden Pop Up: “I had a hard time with Ayn Rand because I found myself enthusiastically agreeing with the first 90% of every sentence, but getting lost at ‘therefore be a huge asshole to everyone'”

This really sums up my feelings about Ayn Rand. I wouldn’t quite go with 90% enthusiastic support, but the hang up really is that last part. The valuable elements are just completely negated by this approval of assholery.
