Collections
At dinner time we have a tradition of pulling a card from the Family Dinner Box of Questions. These are questions designed to prompt discussion during dinner time beyond “how was your day”. Some of them are amusing, some are quite bland. But my son really enjoys doing them.
One of them came up:
What is your favorite thing to collect?
My son, who has a vast collection of stuffed monkeys, toy spaceships and books, very succinctly and seriously answered
Information
Now, I am sure he meant it as he likes to learn new things. Because he does. He loves to learn about almost anything. Rocks, space, animals, etc.
Surely, he’s didn’t mean it that he likes to collect information on his enemies to use against them at their moment of weakness. I mean, his tone and directness implied this. But he’s six. He’s not secretly running a criminal empire in his elementary school, with dirt on everybody.
Right?
