History:
A professor of naval history, Javi Wester has a long distinguished career as an instructor at the Triask Naval Academy. Following the AI War, he became a vocal critic of PUG and its continued existence. Dismissed from his position for spreading radical thoughts, Javi was one of the founding members of the Live Free or Die organization. Originally a registered political party, Javi led them to small victories in local elections on a few planets in PUG space.
Following these small victories, LFD fell under the influence of Jackson Mitchell, the son of industrial magnate Evan Mitchell, and became increasingly radicalized. How much Javi was involved with this shift is unknown. Eventually, LFD turned more and more to violence and intimidation in an attempt to win elections, before being banned in many systems for this violence.
The group took the ultimate step away from peaceful existence with the development of a new Central AI in order to regain control of the remnants of the AI Warfleet that disappeared at the end of the AI War. Javi disagreed with this move and alerted PUG authorities. He turned himself in along with the necessary information allowing the PUG fleet to stop this new Central AI before much damage could be done.
Javi now resides in Triask prison for his involvement in the incident though he has only received a reduced sentence. The newly formed AI taskforce has begun the process of issuing him a pardon in exchange for helping them track down the creator of the Central AI LFD used.

It is not widely reported, but the AI Warfleet was actually stopped by the transport crew that had been hired by Javi to take him to Triask. The crew of Seraph, engaged the new Central AI flagship and disabled it. At the request of both PUG and Seraph’s crew Javi agreed to not speak of this incident due to the crew’s questionable backgrounds. It would serve the interests of PUG nor the crew to have this known publicly.
