Gremoosh hailed from the disputed planet of Nalhu. The Manta clans there fight with Rokma settlers for dominance over the planet in low level unsanctioned warfare. Fighting has occurred in neighboring systems, including raids into Zolan space. As the planet does not technically fall under PUG authority no efforts have been made to intervene.
Rumors tie Gremoosh, and his sister Herish, to several brutal raids, including the disappearance of the entire colony of Golan*. Intelligence indicate Herish was taken into custody by the Zolan and killed while Gremoosh was captured by the Rokma authorities on Lolia. His identity was not verified until after he escaped, along with hundreds of renegade AI prisoners. His current whereabouts are unknown.

The colony of Golan was host to a secret PUG weapons depot. An Echanic crime lord, identified only as “Gerald”, worked with Clan Vertaj to remove the colonists to access the weapons. The colonists narrowly avoided being sold into slavery but were freed by one of Gerald’s hired thugs. This caused a rift between Gerald and Clan Vertaj. Recent reports indicate this rift escalated into open battle on an uninhabited planet near the Hub where Gerald is believed to have been killed. Gremoosh’s involvement is suspected but not verified.
