A&M

There seems to be a possibility that Texas A&M will be leaving the Big 12 and joining the SEC next year.  This would be awesome. A&M is only about 2hrs away from here and if they are in the SEC, at some point, the Gators will play them at A&M. Which means there would be a chance for me to go to a game, without having to drive to another state.

I enjoy watching games are TV for the most part. Air conditioning, food, comfortable seats, ability to pause the game, etc etc. Every so often it would be nice to go and see a game live. The raw emotions of being in the stadium is great. It wouldn’t be like it was in the Swamp during college. I’d be the away team. But it would still be fun.

Now, for A&M to join, the SEC will need another team to keep things balanced. What would be even better, is Virginia Tech were to leave the ACC and join. My Dad went to Tech so that’s the only other team I bother paying attention too. I’ve always wanted to see a Gator vs Hokie matchup. Couple times they were ranked real close to each other and the chances of a bowl game appearance was possible, but it never happened.

Will be interesting to see what happens next year. For now, I’m just sad I can’t even watch the first game. But I can get the Tech game through ESPN on the Xbox, so that’s something. Missed the first Gator game last year but was able to watch Tech. Seems to be a trend.
